    I raced Cory Booker in a soapbox derby. The person who won was a kid in a peacock costume who had discovered a new type of physics that allowed her to power her car yet still be within the rules.

    This 1932 Ford Gravity racer is the kind of a soap box derby racer you would have built when you were a kid if you had the time, money and know how. A hand laminated epoxy and fiberglass body has a mild steel chassis and an aluminum belly pan. It has rack and pinion steering plus 4 wheel disc brakes.
