4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Chicken & Rice - Southern Plate _ I decided to make this super easy by using a bag of Uncle Ben's microwave rice. This was ready within 90 seconds of coming home! I am already planning on making this again. We loved it!
1 lb chicken breasts 1 packet Italian dressing mix 2 Tbsp butter 1/4 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup chicken stock egg noodles or rice Place chicken breasts, Italian dressing mix, butter, lemon juice & chicken broth in the crockpot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. When finished cooking, shred chicken with 2 forks. Serve chicken over egg noodles or rice and top with juices from crockpot.
I have made this twice and I have loved it so much both times. This makes a really quick meal for those crazy busy days. I would recommend this for a cold busy winter day. Again our picky eater did not try it but the rest of the family was singing its praises. Cheap, quick, and easy--a win in my book!
I made this last night with a couple of substitutions and it was great! I used a half a bag of frozen mixed veggies and I used leftover rotisserie chicken which I waited to add during the last two hours of cooking - long enough for it to get good and hot, but not mushy. Family loved it!
Slow Cooker Jambalaya. 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes 1 pound smoked turkey sausage, sliced 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice 3 Tbsp dried minced onion flakes 1 cup chicken broth 2 teaspoons dried oregano 2 teaspoons dried parsley 2 tsp minced garlic 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme white rice or instant rice (2 packs Uncle Ben's Ready Rice).
