doris day reminds me of spending such wonderful time with my grandmother/mom watching her movies and singing along with the records my mama bought. C.D.L.S.

DORIS DAY ~ Audiences loved her voice, and personality, and she made more, and more films. She made 3 films for Warner Bros. in '50, and 5 more in '51. In '53, she had a major hit, "Calamity Jane." More followed such as: "Love Me or Leave Me; The Man Who Knew Too Much; and Pillow Talk." In the early '60's, her husband had taken charge of her career, and she was working too hard, which led to a bout with exhaustion. After that, she made a few films, but not as many as she had in the 50's.

One day maybe I'll be able to be kinder to myself, until then I'll just rejoice that I'm not alone on this. :)

I've never met an animal I didn't like, and I can't say the same thing about people. --Doris Day
