Today is a wonderful milestone for Zoos Victoria: eight Tasmanian Devils from Healesville Sanctuary will be returned to the wilds of Tasmania – for the first time ever today. They will be released on Maria Island off Tasmania’s East Coast to join a small population of disease-free devils established there over the past year.

Lions on the move...  Our boys at Melbourne Zoo have spent their last morning in their old home before the move to temporary accommodation while their exhibit is re-built.  Don't worry though, you'll still be able to visit them while construction takes place. The boys will be residing near the other big cats.
