Robinson Crusoe (1719) by Daniel Defoe ~ Our shipwrecked hero has many adventures on a far-flung island.
Robinson Crusoe - Daniel Defoe - illustrated by N.C. Wyeth. // my dad used to read this to me when I was little
Daniel DeFoe’s “Robinson Crusoe” has been reprinted countless times since 1719. Most reprints have little value, but the first printing of the 1920 version is prized by collectors because it is illustrated by N. C. Wyeth. Check out this awesome WorthPoint article!
Robinson Crusoe is one of my favorite books because it is about how a person survives in the wild. In the book, Robinson's wisdom is different than characters in other books. He lives on an island by himself. His spirit is what I need in America because I am kind of by myself too. I should learn how to be independent and become an adult.

A collection of reprinted entries from the journal of Zlata Filipovic, a child who wrote during the Bosnian War from 1991 to 1993. In a voice both innocent and wise, touchingly reminiscent of Anne Frank's, Zlata's diary has awoken the conscience of the world
Plan to read this book: Zlata FILIPOVIĆ. Zlata's diary [1995 edition]. Zlata Filipović wrote her diary (whom she called "Mimmy") from 1991 to 1993 during the Bosnian war Located mostly in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia. Zlata began writing her diary in 1991, just after she began fifth grade. The war began just before her eleventh birthday. Zlata's diary chronicles her daily life and the war's increasing impact on her home town of Sarajevo.

http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/500.Jorge_Luis_Borges Reading Jorge Luis Borges is an experience akin to having the top of one's head removed for repairs. First comes the unfamiliar breeze tickling your cerebral cortex; then disorientation, even mild discomfort; and finally, the sense that the world has been irrevocably altered--and in this case, rendered infinitely more complex.

George Bernard SHAW. Pygmalion.

TEXT TYPE - FICTION (822 SHA) Bernard Shaw - Pygmalion When George Bernard Shaw wrote "Pygmalion" more than a half century ago, it seemed unlikely that his little play would eventually be converted into one of the great musicals of our time, "My Fair Lady," Yet such popularity should not have been surprising since succeeding generations of readers and playgoers find relevance in the story of a speech therapist who successfully converts an untutored flower girl into a darling of high society.
