ROCK CHICK STYLE MUSES | Even if she wasn’t a rock chick, Betty Page is an early influence, since she was the first pin up girl that uncovered the dark side of fetish, whips, leather and lace. Her fringe or bangs and her deep black hair became an icon and even Hugh Hefner, recognized her as “a remarkable lady, an iconic figure in pop culture who influenced sexuality, taste in fashion, someone who had a tremendous impact on our society”.

Bettie Page (April 22, 1923 – December 11, 2008) was an American model who gained a significant profile in the 1950s for her pin-up photos. Often referred to as the "Queen of Pinups", her jet black hair, blue eyes, and trademark bangs have influenced artists for generations. Bettie was photographed by Irving Klaw and Bunny Yeager at numerous locations but never in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk

Bettie Page. Such a beautiful woman, inside and out. My #1 inspiration for keeping up the pin-up look.

Bettie Page... One of the things I love to do as a Creative Director, with clients for boudoir or glamour photography, is to have them choose a favorite from among the classics and have a great photoshoot inspired by one of the greats!

Bettie Page. Got to love this wildly innocent and religious girl letting her hair down and really shocking the world with her wacky antics! (FYI, it was hard to find a photo I thought was appropriate for PIN) What a strange and interesting story!

Bunny and Bettie...I love that Bettie's photographer is just as lovely as she is! Women working together...very nice.
