Animal Farm by George Orwell

Is Animal Farm brilliant satire? The original book cover included "A Fairy Story" in the title. Many 20th century readers thought the book was a frightening view of the future; people still read Orwell's work to see the range of human experience unfold on the pages. This is how my paperback copy looked in high school, back in the early '70s.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Ninety-five days, and then I’ll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. It’s hard not to be afraid while I’m still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn’t touched me yet. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness.
