The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls- Reading this now. It is a fantastic memoir. She paints magical pictures of a childhood of neglect and the journey to a better life. It's inspiring, really, and I haven't even finished it yet.

Hers is a story of triumph against all odds, but also a tender, moving tale of unconditional love in a family that despite its profound flaws gave her the fiery determination to carve out a successful life on her own terms.

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand - kind of looking forward to this movie. A true story of a Berlin Olympics participant who became a WWII airman, shot down, left adrift & captured by Japanese forces.

I've heard people challenging the notion that this book is Science Fiction. If it's not, then it deserves it's own genre. It was so good and so different in so many ways.

Described as 'Hamlet with dogs', I hear that this wonderful, wonderful book is being adapted for the big screen. Not sure how I feel about that - some books are best left untouched. Unless it's Ang Lee doing the adapting. :-D

Unbroken - Laura Hillenbrand. A must read for anyone who loves true stories of determination and survival. I couldn't put it down!
