Homemade Fabric Softener

FABRIC SOFTENER

Homemade Fabric Softener (My clothes are SO soft - softer than with store-bought, and smell fresh and clean. The scent of the conditioner is definitely there. This recipe makes a lot of softener, so I only made half.)

Every couple of months sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and a tablespoon of your favorite fabric softener over your mattress, let it sit for an hour, and then vacuum it up. Gets rid of dust mites and freshens up the mattress. Keep that same mixture in a small mason jar with holes poked in the top in your linen or clothes closet to keep it smelling fresh! Many Baking Soda Tips!!!

(great to remember for move-out or in) Place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle. The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor. Next, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda around the bottom of the tub and run it through a short cycle. The baking soda will help freshen and removing stains.... good to do every 6 mths

Mix a paste of baking soda and lemon juice. The consistency of the paste should be about that of pancake mix. Spread the paste all along the bottom of the toilet (where it meets the floor), the toilet seat, and any other area that gets a lot of overspray. Let it set for about 10-15 minutes. Then spray the dried paste with white vinegar. Let it fizzle. When done fizzing wipe up with a damp cloth.
