Quebec City in the Province of Quebec, Canada. I would love to Christmas shop on a day snowy day like that in a city like this. Just warms me from the inside out. Not all the hustle and bustle of malls.

gather extra blankets, wear mittens, be thankful for warm homes, read a good book, get cozy by the fireplace, buld a snowman, eat gingerbread, give to those in need, have a snowball fight, bake cookies, enjoy a mug of tea.

holiday shopping in Chicago. I would love to be somewhere like this for christmas!! I remember Store Windows as a little girl in Chicago at Christmas and riding the El into the loop.

I remember decorations like this "downtown" when I was little. (That is where everyone shopped because there were no malls.) I love the hanging street lamps above the garland. In the misty snow, this quaint street just shouts Merry Christmas to me!

The thoughts that go through a child's mind around Christmas, is beyond explainable.

Love these beautiful light filled trees. Just the way Christmas should be.All this picture needs is George Bailey running and saying, "Merry Christmas!"

Love...the best gift of all. ~ Romantic WWII era illustration of a soldier on leave at home spending Christmas with his girl, ca. 1940s.
