Jar- @gapingvoid "You can't read the label on the jar you're in" is a line from a client of ours. A nice way of saying how hard it is to be objective about one's own subjective experience. So I took that line and put it on the jar, as it were... The great Scots poet, Robert Burns, also put the thought nicely in "To A Louse": O wad some Power the giftie gie us To see oursels as ithers see us! ie, in English: O would some Power the gift to give us To see ourselves as others see us!
“If you don’t know why you do what you do, how will you get people to respond to what you do?” Simon Sinek’s “Golden Circle” asks three questions: Why are you doing it? How are you doing it? What are you doing? The order you answer is key. “We make a car, this is how we make it, and this is why we’re making it.” Yawn. Everyone makes cars. I already stopped listening. But answering “Why to What” gets attention.
