Assigned to 1st Battalion, 108th Armor Regiment, Georgia Army National Guard, Calhoun, Georgia. Died of injuries sustained and drowning when his vehicle accidentally rolled over into a canal during combat operations in Mahmudiyah, Babil Province, Iraq.

Army PFC Kevin M. Luna, 26, of Oxnard, California. Died January 27, 2005, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany. Died of non-combat-related injuries at Forward Operating Base Normandy near Muqdadiyah, Diyala Province, Iraq. It was reported that PFC Luna was accidentally hit by friendly small-arms fire.

Died of wounds sustained when he was accidentally shot in the chest in Balad, Salah ad Din Province, Iraq. The incident was placed under investigation.

Died of injuries sustained in an accidental explosion of large caliber rockets confiscated from former Taliban ammunition dumps in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan.
