    Keeping track of those who have turned in work and who have not. Have a list of the students' names and cross them out when the kids turn in their work. So simple! Put assignment title at top & date. Add a column and put grade...save slips to enter into your grade book. Also have a column to indicate late/on time/absent/etc. A group of teachers do this and makes it so easy for a substitute to keep up with and I can call out their names asking where assignment is...

    At the beginning of every month, everyone starts off in the homework club. If they turn all their homework in on time, then they get to stay in the club! If they don't then they are out of the club. Students who turn all their homework in for the entire month get to come to the monthly homework club lunch.

    Such a neat idea! Straw dispenser turned into a pencil dispenser! Then the picky kids won't dig through all the pencils to find the "perfect" one! (evil laugh :)

    Students have to write in a log every time they do not turn in their homework on time and explain themselves. This helps teachers keep track of how many times the same student does not do his/her homework, makes students think about why they did not do their homework, and establishes accountability.
