TOILET~PAPER ROLLS: up'd to Christmas Tree ornaments. Are these cute or what? They’re actually just cardboard toilet paper rolls, painted in bright colors and decorated with black permanent markers. One end of the roll is simply pinched to create the owl’s ‘ears’ – a fun and easy project for both kids and adults. FORGET GOING TO A BIG BOX STORE and piling a cart high with cheap, mass-produced holiday decorations made in China. Help the Earth and create lasting memories with the kids.

Toilet Roll Wreath -- this is really cute! Just be forewarned, the instructions are given in Hungarian! The English translation might as well be Hungarian, but you can get the general idea between it and the photos. :-)

Birdhouses/Fairy houses - cute craft for kids - paint a toilet paper roll and cut out a window. Trace a plate onto stationery and cut out circle for roof. Tie a button on the end of a string, pull string through tip of roof's cone to anchor. Make a loop in string to hang onto tree.

It's hard to believe that the final product was made from TP rolls!

When my Grandma was moving out of her last apartment and in with my father, I found a ton of empty toilet paper and paper towel rolls shoved into (and behind) one of her drawers - and when I say a ton, I mean an entire garbage bag full - and of course I threw them out. Now seeing this I am a little bit remorseful. Don't tell grandma.
