    Readers, I'd like you to meet my sanity saver. This is where I start each year before working in my classroom. My binder. This baby is my planner, organizer and keep-me-sane-inizer. That's why I'm devoting an entire post to it. No, really, it just plays a huge part in my day and I'm excited to share it in the hopes that it might help that newbie teacher feel a little bit more "above" water. Needless to say, I've got lots of things to share.

    I love this idea! This is such a great idea to get students to self assess, and to let teachers know where students are as far as understanding the material.

    Include a picture list of students in your substitute folder. This is a good idea

    Students view different photo each day and make 5 observations, 5 inferences, and 5 prediction.

    Makes them accountable for leaving cap off, writing too hard, losing, etc. Great idea to teach responsibility!... doing this for sure next year!

    Put the student numbers on their pencils!!! Shouldn't lose so many next year! I don't know why I didn't think if this!

    Kindergarten Fever: Tuesday Tip Label the back of your name tag with your student's names. Can check for attendance at anytime including during fire drills.

    Might be one of the best ideas I've seen on Pinterest thus far. Replace with presidents or other historical figures. Students have to ask questions regarding their historical relevance!
