I love this "New Student Bag" that is put together at the beginning of the year and can be pulled out when you get notification of a new student coming in...

Put student's names on the back of YOUR nametag so that you won't have to worry about finding the list during something like a firedrill. Most brilliant idea ever.

Makes them accountable for leaving cap off, writing too hard, losing, etc. Great idea to teach responsibility!... doing this for sure next year!

Include a picture list of students in your substitute folder. This is a good idea

Brilliant! Punch a hole in student's paper when they are off task. It is easy to see when looking at papers who was on task and who was off task.

Bulletin Board - Help Wanted

WANT SO BADLY!!!!I do this for my teaching life and it works. Beginning of each semester I write each lesson & test on a post-it. If you need more time or are absent, just move notes around. You can even use the same post-its from year to year. After a lesson I try to jot some notes about what worked and what needs work. This helps the next yea as ot serves as an informal journal.

Cute ideas!

Use two colors for name calling sticks. Flip the stick after you've called that student. Brilliant!

Great idea for end of the day

great ideas for when your kids need a quick break

Totally making a powerpoint of memes to teach classroom procedures next year

Name Posters for the beginning of the year! Students color on the first day of school, then you can hang them up in your classroom for the rest of the year!

77 cents aprons from Home Depot tied to a chair...independent book bags next year. obsessed!

Name Map-This is a great getting to know you activity. The teacher creates one and shares it with the class. The teacher then allows the students to create their own "name map". The middle symbol represents them and then they have other symbols branching off of the center symbol that represent who they are and their interests. It also goes well after reading Chrysanthemum.

Great for the teacher! Just put every absent students' work in the folder and send home later!!

No Homework Binder--Each student has a blank page in the binder. The student must write the date, assignment, and reason for not having it on their page for each forgotten assignment. Keeps track of # missing and reasons. Great management tool!
