2011, July: 'Brutus' the 80-year-old, five and a half metre saltwater crocodile in Australia's Adelaide River. It's thought he lost his front leg after an encounter with a shark #news #animals #crocodile
✯ Crocodile in Northern Australia livens up the Tour Boat. Dude, the crocs arm is missing!! And this folks is the difference between alligators and crocs; size and alligators typically leave you alone as long as you don't bother them.
Monster Crocodile, Adelaide River, Australia photo via dailymail --> What is most amazing about this picture is that if you look close you'll see this is a pet. Most of the people on the boat aren't even looking at it, aren't startled by it, and have probably seen it multiple times before. Also noticed that it appears to be missing its right front leg (?due to boat prop run-in earlier in life?) but surviving well and maneuvering in the water all the same thanks in part to a few nice humans :0}
HOLY COW!!!! Brutus, an 18-foot-long saltwater crocodile, rises like a nightmare of mythic proportions from Australia’s Adelaide River, lunging for the buffalo meat offered up by cruise operators. (Note that Brutus is missing a front leg — lost years ago, according to local legend, in a shark attack.) (see more — 2011 Pictures of the Year)
This is a scary photo. They are big and powerful.
They couldn't get me in the boat! :o/
