When you see this in real life your like " this is so beautiful!" when you see this in temple run your like "damn I need to slide!"
Arusha National Park, Tanzania. This was carved by elephants who use this path for migration. The trea grows its roots from the branches of the neighbouring trees and the elephants use their trunks to pull these down, giving the gap in the middle as the tree developed.

My New York Harbor experiences have been aboard the Staten Island Ferry and the ferries to and from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island..but it is an amazing experience coming or going...one way is the view of Miss Liberty and the other direction is the skyline of NYC. In between is the historic Ellis Island. Would love to see these boats once...slj

Rod Chase, 'The Grand Lady' - The Statue of LIberty was given to the United States by France in 1886. The idea for the gift was conceived at a dinner party in 1865. She was sculpted by Frederic Bartholdi, and Gustave Eiffel served as the structural engineer. It was fabricated using the Repousse Process and was completed in 1884. The statue was presented to the U.S. on July 4, 1884 and was dismantled and shipped to America in early 1885 on the French frigate "Isere". There were 214 crates holding 350 pieces on the journey across the Atlantic. On October 28, 1886, President Grover Cleveland officially accepted the Statue saying: "We will not forget that liberty here made her home; nor shall her chosen altar be neglected." It is ironic that it was President Cleveland who vetoed funding for the pedestal in 1884, making private fundraising necessary. The Statue of Liberty was designated a National Monument on October 15, 1924. The ships shown in this painting sailed past Liberty in 2000. Many Tall Ships gathered around her at her 100th birthday in July 1986. It was a sight to behold!

Appalachian. The Blue Ridge Mountains and Parkway are a sight to behold. There is feel here that you get no place else. You can step back into the yesteryear of not-so-long-ago. You can remember how we got started here. You can still see it in people's faces, taste it in their food, know it in the atmosphere all around you.

Autopsy Celebrity Death Photos | Above) Marilyn Monroe autopsy. looks like she got severely beaten, I wonder why it was not a murder investigation ! ...
Marilyn Monroe was found dead in the bedroom of her Brentwood home by her psychoanalyst Ralph S. Greenson after he was called by Monroe's live-in housekeeper Eunice Murray on August 5, 1962. She was 36 years old at the time of her death. Her death was ruled to be "acute barbituate poisoning" by Dr. Thomas Noguchi of the Los Angeles County Coroners office and listed as "probable suicide." One of Marilyn's autopsy photos. The neck sagging is due to having the autopsy performed.

Her picture taken after death, look closely you can see the stand holds her up. When a loved one died the Victorians were presented with an opportunity to imortalise their beloved in a way that was previously impossible: they could photograph them. Because of the high cost of photography, post-mortem photographs were, in many cases, the only photograph a family had of the deceased.

Her picture taken after death, look closely you can see the stand holds her up. Post mortem photography. I never realized this was even something that we did until my Death & Dying class in college. It's very fascinating to me. Almost to the point that I considered very seriously for a few years about going into mortuary science.

The 9/11 Teardrop Memorial - I had no clue this poignant memorial existed. It was a gift to America from the country of Russia and is dedicated "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism." It is in Manhattan, NY. Around the base of The Teardrop were the names of all those who died on 9/11 – including 26 Russians. Vladimir Putin was there when construction began and Bill Clinton attended the dedication ceremony in 2006. Since then, it has been forgotten.

9/11 "TEAR DROP" monument (officially titled "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism") in Bayonne Harbor, New Jersey, gift from artist, Zurab Tesereteii, and Russia on September 11, 2006. The names of those who died on 9/11 are inscribed on the base. Bayonne was a fitting location for the installation; the city was an arrival point for many New York City evacuees on 9/11, a staging area for rescuers, and offered a direct view of the Statue of Liberty and the former World Trade Center Towers.
The Teardrop Memorial - a gift to America from Russia and is dedicated "To the Struggle Against World Terrorism". The somber memorial stands across the bay from New York City in an industrial area of Bayonne, New Jersey, within sight of the Statue of Liberty and where the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center formerly stood. Zurab Tsereteli is the prominent Russian artist who designed the bronze sculpture.
