I can still smell our laundry, fresh from hanging in the sunshine, bleached white; I still iron my sheets--the ones that wrinkle. My clothes line is a folding one that spins with about 8 lines. I still hang laundry all year round on a sunny day. (Hint: When using the dryer, put in a dry towel to cut the drying time in half.)

...I can still smell our laundry hanging in the sunshine, bleached white, with blueing added for extra whiteness. I hear the squeak of the clothesline reel, the fluttering of clothes in the prairie breeze...and yes, the hum and grind of our old wringer washer. Laundry was an all-day event. Ironing was on Tuesday....

No little white fence where I grew up, but we did have double wire clothes line used every week. Hated pinning clothes to the line then, and I still hate doing laundry today.

I always love to smell clean clothes off the clothes line and there's nothing better than sliding into a clean bed where the sheets have hung out all day!

Im running a bit behind with my postings as yesterday was a very busy day. Yesterday I was grateful for my health. There are so many people in the world that just struggle to live each day due to sickness or disease.

Watching clothes on the line blowing back and forth in a gentle breeze.

I use to help my Grandmother hang clothes on her line ♥ My Grandpa put up a low line and I hung washclothes, etc

I love a clothes line. One of my favorite things is to go to climb between sheets that have dried in the sun. Such a sweet comforting smell.
