      Chocolate Granola bars. taste like no bake cookies but are better for you! ... Here’s what you need: 1/2 cup natural peanut butter, 1/4 cup local honey, 1/4 cup unsalted butter or coconut oil, 1 1/2 cups oats (not quick oats), 2 tablespoons wheat germ or ground flaxseed, 1/4 cup coconut, 1/2 cup chocolate chips (Mini work best, but it doesn’t really matter.)

      Good healthy snack recipes. Chocolate granola bars-good, a little sweet and messy. Very similar to no-bake haystacks. Next time I may wait and let them cool before adding in chocolate chips. Good for a snack or treat.

    PB Chocolate Chip Chewy Granola Bars! I made these. THEY ARE AMAZING! :D cut into 10 bars 1 serving = 216 cals. 29 g. carbs, 10 g. fat (mostly from peanut butter), and 4 g. protein!

    1/2 cup peanut butter 1/3 cup honey 1/4 cup coconut oil 1 1/2 cups oats 2 tablespoons wheat germ 1/2 cup peanuts Instructions: In saucepan over low heat, melt peanut butter, honey and coconut oil, stirring frequently. Mix in oats, wheat germ and peanuts. Spread in 8×8 foil-lined or greased pan.

    Great snack for the kiddos - think I'll sneak in some flax seed or wheat germ.
