I liked this picture of the palms from Palm Sunday because it is a reminder to me about what Holy Week is all about; Jesus' passion, death, and Resurrection. It is something that we can all have as a reminder of Jesus and all that He did for us.

Pretzels for Lent - Did you know that the pretzel is a traditional food for lent? When early Christians would pray, they would cross their arms and touch each shoulder with the opposite hand. They also fasted very strictly during lent, making their bread with only water, flour, and salt. A monk shaped this in the form of praying arms for children, and the pretzel was born!
Pinner says: I just used this "magic trick" to bring my kids into Lent. Talk about Lent as you do the folds. The part torn off is the bad things we get rid of during Lent. Throw it away. What is left is our ticket into Heaven- as we open our folded paper and find it has turned into a cross. Worth a try!
