10 Pretty Ways to Wear your Hair for Spring :: This is…

Knot your average pony. **I tried this in my own hair... even though I have lots of long, thick hair, this style made me look like I had none! Seriously... I lost seven inches off the length of my pony tail :( Check out my "French Knotted Pony" for a variation I made... leaves more length and fullness in your pony tail, and makes for a super cool look!

THE FUN BUN aka how to do a top knot. this is actually really easy for short-ish hair too! just a few more bobby pins keeping the hair up top.

MUST TRY! Things Needed: Curling Iron, Elastic Band, Bobby Pins, Comb & Hair Spray. 1) Curl hair and create a low pony tail with the bottom middle portion of the hair & divide the rest into 3 sections 2) Tease the top portion & twist it down to the ponytail & pin it 3) Tease side portion & twist it to the ponytail & pin it 4) Repeat on other side 5) Add some hair spray & you are ready to go!

Best thing is; it’s easy to do, gorgeous and keeps your hair out of your way for the night. I made this a printable tutorial, so all of the steps are next to the photos. Enjoy! Tools you’ll need: curling iron (to prep the hair with waves), sectioning clips, teasing comb or brush, clear elastic rubber band, bobby pins, light to medium holding hairspray (to mist over at the end).

Tutorial: Prim & Proper for the Modern Bride. I wore this to work the other day and it held up beautifully with only 2 elastics and 4 bobby pins! If you know me, you know I have extremely thick, wavy hair, so that's definitely saying something!

I love the idea of doing this to my hair, but I have two problems: 1, what the heck do you do in step 5? Seriously, what? and 2, I really don't understand how to work bobby pins. This is why I'm afraid that I'll show up to my friend's wedding with my hair in a ponytail because I don't know what else I can do with it.

Hair - Flat to volume 1 Add volumizer to your root. Blow dry upside down 2Put up in bun 3Once hair has cooled, take down and roll the center section in velcro 4 curl remainder of hair up and back 5 Continue curling and setting them in clips or with large bobby pins. 6 set for 15mins 7 Take everything down slowly 8 Curl the top pieces from velcro roller 9 Tease the crown a little 10 Mist with hairspray

This elegant chignon is lovely on its own, but it's also structured to accommodate a fascinator, should you be wearing one to a daytime wedding.

easy chignon. there must be something more to mom hair than short or ponytail!
