DIY Almond Milk ~ Cover almonds w/ water, sit overnight. Drain & rinse. Stretch cheesecloth over top of jar & securing w/ a rubber band. Place almond & 3c water in blender, add 1 Tbsp. honey, ½ tsp Kosher salt & any other flavoring ingredients.(Dates, figs, vanilla..) Blend on high one min. Strain & let drain an hour. Keeps up to 3 days. Note: The solids can be used in smoothies, pancake batter, or dried for several hours in the oven & used as flour in cookies or other recipes.
