I wish I could give this lonely whale a hug The loneliest whale in the world :: Her name is 52 Hertz, she is an unknown species of baleen whale, sings a melancholy song no other whale will answer and travels the ocean alone. As in completely alone – no family to enjoy a meal with now and then, no mate to hook up with every few years, not even one fellow Cetacean friend.

"In 2004, The New York Times wrote an article about the loneliest whale in the world. Scientists have been tracking her since 1992 and they know the problem: Her voice is unlike any other baleen whale. While the rest of her kind communicate between 12 and 25hz, she sings at 52hz. No other whales can hear her." Some animals also suffer from loneliness or not being able to fit in. LA

The Beluga Whale also called The White Whale can mostly be found in Artic waters and become their brilliant white color around 5 yrs. of age. They are considered a smallish whale between 13-20' long and live 35-50 yrs. in the wild. They should never be kept in captivity.... it is inhumane and unjust. All whales should have the roam of the ocean!
