This is a free hat and mitten pattern worksheet for your Kindergarten and 1st grade students. Have your students practice fine motor coloring skills while creating patterns. In common core standards, patterns help students "Look for and make use of structure" (Mathmatical Practice).

This set provides a great way teach your students to identify and continue AB, ABC, ABB, and AAB patterns with pictures. There are 12 pattern cards for each type of pattern. Each set contains cards to complete each pattern. These cards make a great math station activity! Just print, laminate, and cut the cards . . . then place them in the math station! You're kiddos will think that making patterns is groooovy!
