Sad that some of my 8th graders still don't know how to round.

This is for the kids who have a hard time rounding numbers.

Students will turn over two cards at a time. The first card is the tens digit and the second is the ones digit. They round that number to the nearest ten. If they are correct, they cover one of those spots on the game board. If those spots are all taken, lose a turn. Play until all spots are covered. The one with the most counters on the board is the winner. ENJOY!!

BEST site for all those math rule posters.....this math teacher is awesome!

This little rhyme would help students remember how to round up decimals. It would be inexpensive to make and easily replaced if damaged. It may be difficult for the students to remember what exactly the rhyme is suggesting. Maybe you could write on the top "Rounding Rhyme" to help them remember.

I so needed this today during my rounding lesson. I was actually trying to come up with something cute that rhymed... who knew?
