This picture is from an article called the “RESCUING HUG” The article details the first week of life of a set of twins. Apparently each were in their respective incubators and one was not expected to live. A hospital nurse fought against the hospital rules and placed the babies in one incubator. When they were placed together, the healthier of the two, threw an arm over her sister in an endearing embrace. The smaller baby’s heart stabilized and temperature rose to normal.

This is a beautiful story about a woman accepting the birth of a baby that wasn't who she expected her to be.

"The mother had cancer of the womb, and her uterus, including her unborn baby inside, had to be removed. This is a ten week old embryo, the photograph was taken by an OB/GYN med student in India named Dr. Suparna Sinha. I felt compelled to pin this purely to share how precious life is even at a mere 10 weeks into it's creation. Just..... wow.Powerful." #God #life

This photo is running the world. Twin brother and sister born in Spain joined hands shortly after birth, and nurses recorded the moment.

From @Theleakyboob: "A nurse helping my 1 day old son nurse while I was in ICU following his birth. At this point I was a quadriplegic & could only feel his soft hair and skin when he was placed by my neck to cuddle. Breastfeeding is the reason he was allowed to stay with me in the hospital for 5mths while I lived on rehab unit learning to walk again (complications from when he was born). We are still breastfeeding strong at 16 months! If this is not a success story I don't know what is :D" Wow!

This was taken at Vanderbilt University Memphis Tn where a Dr did early surgery on an infant in the uterus repairing Spina Bifida and the baby kept reaching out and grabbing the surgeon's finger. He would pat his little hand then put it back and continue surgery and the baby would reach out again grabbing his finger. How precious!!!

A picture began circulating in November. It should be "The Picture of the Year," or perhaps, "Picture of the Decade." It won't be. In fact, unless you obtained a copy of the U.S. paper which published it, you probably would never have seen it. The picture is that of a 21-week-old unborn baby named Samuel Alexander Armas, who is being operated on by surgeon named Joseph Bruner. The baby was diagnosed with spina bifida and would not survive if removed from his mother's womb. Little Samuel's ...

He is a Chief Master Sergeant John Gebhardt in the USAF serving in Afghanistan As high as you can go in enlisted ranks (E-9) John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head... But they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John 's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the

Birth Story. "Love me. Love me. I'm not what you expected, but oh, please love me."

I love my sister. Even though she's only a couple of years younger than me, I feel like she's my baby.

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80′s arrived at the hospital to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. The nurse took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of ...
