Nursery Storage/Decor: DIY - Amelias Seaside Shabby Chic Nursery (roomzaar.com). Buy old (or new) slatted shutters, power wash them, paint them with the wall color, and dry brush paint a shade darker over the base color. Add simple white baskets and a few other accessories and tie each item onto the shutters with ribbon. If I had a nursery I would definitely paint some monkeys on the walls, but this would be great for those who didn't have a bunch of time or patience to paint. :)
We bought this tree for the nursery and it was so light against our light pink wall that you couldn't even see it :( We now have a beautiful tree in our *hall*! Unexpected...but very cool.
I like the idea of painting a small section of stripes and framing it in with trim instead of doing a whole big wall. Still makes a big impact, but not as WHOA NELLY. Bennetts nursery by Rebecca for Project Nursery-Doesn't have to be just for the nursery.
