Love Emily Giffin! books-worth-reading
Hello Followers! One of my favorite things to do, other than traveling out to random places to take pictures, is sitting down with a beverage of choice and enjoying a good book! I think it's the perfect way to unwind after a long day or when you just need a break...it's good soul therapy! For my…
I made it through Monday, whew! I hope you did, too :) Today's Product Spotlight is going to be a little bit different than usual. I'm going to spotlight my current favorite reads. I've been getting a few emails asking for book suggestions, and since I love reading so much I figured it'd be appropriate to dedicate a post to some of my favorite books! Just know that my favorite books change...oh about every month or so ;) Another disclaimer: I don't read very riveting books by any means. Reading is my escape, so I'm more of a brain candy book kinda girl ;) So lots of mushy love, dreadful heartbreak, & audacious backstabbing. You know...the good stuff. Oh, and I'm a big advocate of reading the book before seeing the movie. That way your imagination doesn't get interrupted! Currently Reading: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins (Book 2 of The Hunger Games Trilogy) Seriously such a fantastic series. I thought the covers looked stupid, so I neglected reading them until last week. So that saying we learned as children, "Don't judge a book by its cover,"... noted. via Favorites: Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen via Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers via Any book by Sophie Kinsella via Any book by Emily Giffin via And this last series is near and dear to my heart. I realize that some of you may hate me for this, but that's okay :) I've been reading these books since I was 16, so I have no shame! The books are so much better than the movies - it's absurd. (Side note: Team Edward in case you were dying to know ;)) The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer via To Read: The Help by Kathryn Stockett via Millennium Trilogy Series #1 by Stieg Larsson via If you want to know the specifics about any of the ones I've read, feel free to ask. Do you have any others that I just absolutely have to add to my "To Read" list? And do you still love me even though I'm a twilight fan? ;) Is anyone else pumped for this?! P.S. I just want to say that the "Girl Behind the Blog" blog link up yesterday was TOO much fun...I loved it! Thank you to everyone who watched my first vlog. I spent about 2 and a half hours responding to everyone's comments, and I am wiped out...but it was so worth it. You guys are more than awesome. Your encouraging words bring a smile to my face for sure! Don't forget about Smell the Roses this week! :)

Another good book by Emily Giffin
Emily Giffin series.. good books!
Both good books! Fun reads
With summer right around the corner, it's time to relax and start cracking open some fun books. When I'm on vacation, I read like crazy! Nothing makes me happier than sitting on the beach and reading a book aaaaalllllllllll afternoon! It's hard to choose my favorite books, but these books are all lighthearted and easy reads. In no specific order, here are a few of my favorites that I highly recommend! 1. LET'S PRETEND THIS NEVER HAPPENED (A MOSTLY TRUE MEMOIR) This is literally the funniest book I've ever read. I had a hard time reading it in public because I would laugh out loud! 2. SOMETHING BORROWED & SOMETHING BLUE . Emily Giffin never disappoints, but these two are probably my favorite books of hers 3. THE HYPNOTIST'S LOVE STORY This Australian author is fabulous. I have read all of her books and I recommend them all! This book was super cute and fun to read. 4. GONE GIRL What a page turner! I couldn't put this book down! I can't wait to read more by Gilian Flynn. 5. THE HUNGER GAMES TRILOGY In case you've been living in a cave and haven't read these yet, you must! 6. THE MAGIC ROOM This is a lovely, heartwarming book. I teared up a few times. 7. ARE YOU THERE, VODKA? IT'S ME, CHELSEA Honestly, all of Chelsea Handler's books are hilarious. This is one of her earlier books which I found particularly amusing. I would recommend any of her books. 8. THE GLASS CASTLE I've read this book multiple times because it's one of my absolute favorites! 9. FIFTY SHADES OF GREY TRILOGY Again, unless you live under a rock, you've probably read this series already. If not, don't be bashful! Behind all the hoopla is a great story. 10. ANGRY HOUSEWIVES EATING BON BONS Everything about the title of this book just screams "read me!" This is a perfect beach read! Hopefully you will start stockpiling books for summer! Does anyone have some book recommendations for me?
Expressing meaning: Eat, Pray, Love
Heart warming and inspirational.
Worth Reading, Book Club, Eat Pray Love, Books Movies, Elizabeth Gilbert, Woman, Reading List, Favorite Books
Not really a book worm, but I could read this book a million times over...and watch the movie. Love both!!
Eat Pray Love for Elizabeth Gilbert. She had a bad marriage and got divorced she went through a lot of places to get re inspired by the world and get a new perspective after the Divorce she got . Really worth reading
In Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love, a recently divorced woman in search of happiness embarks on a trip to Italy, India, and Bali to find herself.
FAVORITE BOOK..Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything across Italy, India and Indonesia by Elizabeth Gilbert
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia by Elizabeth Gilbert,http://www.amazon.com/dp/0143038419/ref=cm_sw_r_pi_dp_k8Z3sb0KVBDA85WZ
'Eat, Pray, Love' by Elizabeth Gilbert great book movie not so much
Eat Pray Love Elizabeth Gilbert. reading list
Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia The book is the story of one woman's search, in three different countries, to find herself. First she goes to Italy, then to India and then to Indonesia. The book is in three equal sections, one for each country. As a result I found it a little disjoint, almost being three different stories. But by the end of the book I was enjoying it. In the middle section she goes to an Ashran in India to pursue her spiritual journey and discovers her strengths and weaknesses. In the final part she is mixing with the locals as well as learning meditation from the local spiritual man. I found the book informative and insightful. It is a bestseller, but personally not one of my favorite books. But I loved this talk by Elizabeth Gilbert on TED http://www.ted.com/talks/elizabeth_gilbert_on_genius.html And here's the movie, with Julia Roberts, which I found very true to the book Eat Pray Love Pin It
The Book Vixen is hosting a book club for Eat Pray Love, which is one of my all-time favorite books. I can not begin to explain to you how much I love this book, but I will try over the course of the next month. You can still join in if you would like, just head over to the Book Vixen and sign up. Today's assignment: What preconceived notions do you have of the book as a first time reader? What have you heard about it? What do you anticipate going into it? Why do you want to read it? This is where my answer will be different then everyone else because I am on the only one in the book club who has read the book before. I honestly can't remember what my feelings were going in to the book but I read the book at a time in my life where I sort of felt like I was falling apart. They were not good times, and there was something about reading this book, about another woman going through the same thing that was incredibly powerful. I don't know if I would love this book nearly as much if I read it at a different time in my life, a time like now when everything is more pulled together. Now, I anticipate that there will be people in the book club who don't love it as fiercely as I do, and there may be people who don't even like it and that is fine. I also can't wait to re-read it now, I have read it multiple times, and I often go back to it when I am having a tough day and just read some of my favorite passages but it will be interesting to read it cover to cover and discuss it now and see how differently I feel about it. There will be EPL Book Club posts on July 8, July 11, July 20 and July 31. Also be on the lookout for a special vlog that I will do to show you my worn and ragged, but loved, copy of the book in the next few days. Head over to The Book Vixen and see what everyone else is anticipating from the book.

Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do we do to ourselves. - from The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. One of my all-time favorite books. books-worth-reading
Worth Reading, Books Movies, Amazing Book, Reading List, Mitch Albom, Books Books, Favorite Books, I Ve Read
"The 5 People You Meet in Heaven" by Mitch Albom. One of my favorite books and movie..... I hope my 5 people blow me away!!!
This book touched my heart. It is still my favorite book to this day. Mitch Albom is my favorite writer and it pushed me to read many more of his books. This is the one book that I can honestly say that I have read and reread many times.
One of my favorite books/movies. Makes one think of what is waiting for you on the other side.....
The Five People You Meet In Heaven ~ Mitch Albom. Definately a bokk worth reading more than once.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven by: Mitch Albom. Geat book & movie.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. on my to read list
Also another amazing book by Mitch Albom
Last week before I took my off, my officemate send me the PDF file of this book. I know Mitch Albom sounds familiar, so I immediately looked for more information about him. Thanks to Wiki, I found out that he was the one who wrote Tuesdays with Morrie, a book I’ve read when I was still in High School. The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom I know that the book will teach a lot of lessons. Basing it on what I’ve read about Tuesdays with Morrie, I know that Albom’s new book will be well written, and it will be a book about life. The Five People You meet in Heaven focused on Eddie, a Circus Maintenance guy who died on an accident. After he dies, he met five people, the blue guy, his Captain, Ruby, his wife, and the Filipina Child, Tala. Each person will teach him five important things, how human beings are connected, sacrifices, forgiveness, the essence of true love, and our purpose here on earth. What I love the book aside from the lessons that it will teach you, some part of it was set here in the Philippines. I love Tala’s character and her importance in Eddie’s life. There were also parts of the book that really shocked me, like when the Captain died. I never see it coming. After I read the part, I immediately went on break just to smoke, it was just too much. The five lessons that Eddie learned while he was on heaven is very important. I’ve realized that there are certain things that we will be things that we will learn as we grow however it is important to know these five things. We have to understand how our faith is intertwined; we have to know that sometimes, what is beneficial for us might be heartbreaking for someone else. We must not be selfish. In life, we also have to learn how to sacrifice and forgive. Love encompasses everything, even death, so it is important that we always show sincerity when we love somebody. Lastly, no matter how tough things can get, sometimes we will get fed up with the things that are happening around us, we must not fret. One way or another, we are beneficial to somebody. The Five People You Meet in Heaven really started my week right. It gave me that boost of positive energy to welcome the week with such optimism and glee.
Emily Giffin Love!
Giffin Books, Books Movies, Books Worth, Books I Ve, Giffin S Books, Books Books, Favorite Books, Great Books, Good Books
I find Emily Giffin's books to be... chick lit, but not as light and fluffy as one might suppose. She likes the relationships between her characters to be messy, and the situations they muddle through are always grey, never black and white... so it makes for some interesting reading.
omg i love emily giffin..something borrowed is my favorite book... hence the board named something pinned.
Heart of the Matter-just finished this book on CD. VERY good. I love Emily Giffin's books.

Loved the book too much to see the movie
Good Movies, Wonderful Book, Beautiful Book, Movies Tv, Books Movies, Amazing Book, Book Movie, Movies Worth, Favorite Book
Beautiful book, please don't judge it by the movie if you've seen it before you pick up this book to read. The book is always better then the movie, words to live by!
I really enjoyed this book, my husband.. not so much. Never watched the movie since I liked the book (movies rarely live up to the good books in my opinion)
The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger (one of my favorite books of all time)
Amazing book, will make you go back and check some pages to really get the book.
probably my favorite book...at least the one closest to my heart.
One of my favorite books. I sobbed the whole way through.
Amazing book, much better than the movie!!
Book is always better
Book Nerd, Watch, Kill, Movie, Idiot, Bookworm, Pet Peeve
YES. Because if you don't know why I need to read the book first, you will NEVER understand! |Books||Humor||Book nerd problems|
Source: thegreatlovestory I try really hard not to compare movies to books anymore but seriously, does whoever says things like this know how dumb they sound??
This is my BIGGEST pet peeve. You CANNOT watch a movie before you read the book!!! That is the law of reading!
if you want to know go read the lightning thief and then watch the movie. or read any book then watch the movie
Ha biggest pet peeve! Also super annoying, those people who don't read the book, just watch the movie, and then think they know everything on the subject. The Lord of the Rings for example, you are not a Tolkien expert if all you did was watch Jackson's (granted very good) screen adaption!!!!!!
I don't read the book when I watch the movie or watch the movie when I read the book. It mess both of them up for me.
Because you're an idiot. . . Since when has a book ever been better than a movie? #Book #quotes
Kill them with fire
