Beautiful bird quilt, and in my two favorite colors. I wonder if the piecing would be easier to do since it is strips vs. squares? Might be harder, keeping such long strips of fabric straight across the width of the quilt.

Tokyo International Quilt Festival 2008. This is a detail of the quilt. The sand was all beaded and the ocean was many layers of sheer with fish on every layer so it looks 3D. Look closely. Amazing!
