If you don’t know what to read right now…book club books

There are always several people in my head. Which makes me sound more like a schizophrenic than anything. *sigh*

Although religious in topic, it is an amazing book that really transformed the way I saw certain things...to be read with an open mind. It is brilliantly written!

fav. book-so many wonderful books to read. So little time.

In Sterling, New Hampshire, 17-year-old high school student Peter Houghton has endured years of verbal and physical abuse at the hands of classmates. His best friend, Josie Cormier, succumbed to peer pressure and now hangs out with the popular crowd that often instigates the harassment. One final incident of bullying sends Peter over the edge and leads him to commit an act of violence that forever changes the lives of Sterling’s residents.

Another great book that focuses on the struggle of women from the perspective of Asian and American culture. Anything by Amy Tan

This is definitely a must read. Be mindful that it is a work of fiction, but it connects you with God the Father, The Holy Spirit and Jesus in a creative and imaginary style.

2.) Heaven is for Real By: Todd Burpo Completed: April 18, 2011 158 Pages (It was a very good book. I found it to be a real quick read, and a Christian storyline about a little boy that got extremely sick, and almost died, but went to heaven and tells his family about his experience in little bits over time.)

A Sweeping Family Saga - "The Thorn Birds" by Colleen McCullough- This is one of my all-time favorites. Also loved the TV mini series with Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward.
