11/09/2013 This was a bit of colour correction. I did a full head foils and packed them in very closed to each other (took 2.5 hours). Used Majimeché + 40vol and Mairel 5 + 20vol. There were also a few bleach highlights but I didn't put to many as the hair condition was not too good. Through the top I put dark slices to break up the previous colour. Client was happy with the results and has book in to get her highlights done again, after a few more visits it'll be as light as desired.
Full foil highlight (not my favorite since you can see the choppy highlight through the layers. But this is realistic in what happens with weaves and layers!
There are three basic ways to book for your highlights. Knowing what your reason for highlighting is helps you make the right appointment with your colorist. The three appointment types are full highlight, partial highlight, and mini highlight.
Foil highlights and lowlights. This style depends on one length hair--no layers! Layers would make the highlight strands look choppy. (The addition of lowlights depends on the starting base color--not needed if your "brown" looks like this; definitely needed if you have too much blonde)
