DIY Vertical Planter Garden. Something I would do differently, or add to it, is support under each planter. I worry the weight of the dirt, water, and plants will eventually concave the planters. Adding one more piece of wood (obviously cut into proper lengths) wouldn't cost that much more for a little more security.
I love this stacked container garden. This is made by simply threading a length of metal rebar through the holes of the pots. (this same look is really pretty when planting with vinca and other flowing flowers)
What a great idea to fancy up that flower garden! Going to have to try this ... Another pinner says these are easy! Lowes sells the 4 to 6" round PVC pipe with holes already drilled. Purchase an end cap, fill with rock, soil, and plant or put tower in the center of a large pot to stabilize, and add height and color to a container that has trailing plants (no end cap or rock needed if you are placing in a container)...
