Easiest, cheapest sensory idea ever! I rubbermaid container with a few bags of beans. You can hide toys in the beans or have them scoop with a cup or other items. Using a cup to pour the beans on hands and feet is actually SUPER soothing too!

arctic ice sensory play--freeze a big tub of water, but stick something heavy in one side (so you create a hole in the ice). fill hole with water, add toys & play!

Old, stale rice? Make rainbow rice- it's like sand, but much less messy. Use it inside to keep your little ones entertained on rainy days!

A balance scale stimulates children's curiosity of measuring objects. They will naturally learn what objects are heavy or light. Also, through trial and error children will teach themselves about the balance relationships between different sizes and weights of objects.
