Sleep Box from Arch Group http://www.designrulz.com/architecture/2010/12/14685/

  • Emma Welsh

“The Russian architecture and design firm Arch Group has set up this year in August the first SLEEPBOX at the Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia. The idea is to be realized in places like train stations, airports, fair grounds or public places. Thus, anyone can retire without any major complications at will without having to book a hotel. The price of accommodation varies depending on length of stay, the longer it lingers in the SLEEPBOX, the lower the price per hour. Each box is equipped with power outlets for laptops and chargers, reading lights and a ventilation shaft. Large luggage can be stowed under the bed, little things find their place in the bedside table. Each SLEEPBOX has windows that allow natural light into the interior. Electric blinds provide privacy and plenty of dark space completely. There are various cabin sizes that can accommodate from one to three persons.
