How to clean glass cooktop - tried this and it did clean but not everything. Got rid of all the grease really quickly but did nothing for the rings of very dried on residue from stove-top spills. That was what I was hoping this would take care of as I have yet to find anything that can get rid of that stuff.

shower cleaner--This works so good! I mixed half a small bottle of Dawn with 2 cups white vinegar --I heated the vinegar in the microwave first because I read that somewhere else. I never thought my magic erasers would be replaced for cleaning the shower doors --this works so much better! I sprayed the doors down, let it sit for about 20 minutes (I think they suggest 2 hours), I then wiped it down. Soap scum and hard water came right off. the spots I missed with the cleaner wouldn't[ budge!

Using baking soda to clean: I just used this to clean my stove top. I repeated the process twice but I had some really bad spots. On the second attempt I lifted the towels without swirling it and I was left with the baking soda paste. I used a nonscratch scrubbing sponge and scrubbed my hard spots with the paste. Mission accomplished...my stove top looks amazingly clean! I also used the paste to clean the dishwasher door and was impressed. I think I found a new favorite cleaning product!

Top 10 Household Cleaning Tips: The Tough Problems
Cleaning Idea for your glass cooktop
How to clean your glass cooktop I’m the queen of boil overs, and there’s no real good stove top cleaner out there. I’ve heard of different care methods, like using an exacto blade to scrape off carbonized residue, but I was afraid it would scratch up the smooth glass. Not wanting that to happen, I looked into some other alternatives, and the best one is.. Baking Soda!! Don’t ever assume that it’s easier to clean than the old fashioned coils. I thought that 6 months ago when we got this stove that it would be easier to clean for its smooth surface, but don’t be fooled. Whatever the case, it’s awful and yucky looking, so I thought it was high time to see how I could get rid of this fossilized grease on my stovetop. All you need is Bowl & Hot Soapy Water Baking Soda A Cleaning Rag Gloves (I didn’t use any because I thought baking soda wouldnt be harsh on my hands.. but I was wrong, so try to use gloves, you’ll thank me later) IMG_8578 First, you fill a bowl with hot tap water water and mix it with some dish soap. Submerge the rag in the bowl and get it wet. Apply baking soda in a generous amount all over the affected area. Now pull out that hot soapy rag out of the bowl and squeeze half the water out. You want it to be soggy, not sopping. Then wait about 15 minutes… Then swirl the rag around in circles, using the baking soda paste as a gentle scrub. The dry up the surface and shine it up with windex. Good as new!! I repeated these steps 1 time to achieve these results. You may also leave the rag on for longer, depending on how bad it is.

How clean clean microfiber
How to Clean Microfiber Furniture The microfiber sofa in our living room has seen better days, but I'm not letting it go without a fight! I bought the sofa about six years ago when I moved into my first solo apartment. It's super comfy and I love the simple, but sophisticated design. The big problem is the color... I love the super light tan, but it shows every little bit of dirt that touches it. Not too practical for our 60 pound furry friend! Calvin doesn't shed at all, but he does tromp in dirt from the yard. He's also turned the couch into his own personal napkin and loves to rub his face along the front edge to dry off after taking a drink. After a while, the front of the cushions look like this (gross, I know): While microfiber is stain resistant, it can be a real challenge to clean because it's a polyester-based material so water will leave a permanent mark when it dries. That means most carpet and upholstery cleaners won't work. We almost got rid of the couch before we moved because it had gotten so nasty, but after piecing together a few tricks from the magical internet, I tried one more last-ditch effort to clean it and it worked! Here's the scoop... Step 1: Vacuum with a brush attachment to remove any hair/crumbs/etc Step 2: Spray rubbing alcohol onto the dirty area This sounds a bit crazy, but it's key. The alcohol won't saturate the fabric and evaporates much quicker than water so it won't leave a mark. Just test in an inconspicuous spot if you're worried about colorfastness. Step 3: Rub vigorously with a clean scrub sponge Make sure the scrubbing surface is white or the color could transfer. Plus you'll be able to see all the grime coming off your furniture. Be prepared to be grossed out (and secretly thrilled) - this sponge was white before! Step 4: Let the area dry completely The fabric may look stiff or dark in places, but the next step will take care of that. Step 5: Rub with a clean, soft scrub brush in a circular motion Again, be sure to use a brush with white bristles to avoid discoloration. This step fluffs up the surface of the fabric to make it soft again. That's it... very simple, but effective! Check out the before and after...
