@Laurie Dyer - There's a b photo at the thrift store that I can't get out of my head. It's of a native woman and her daughter (Guatemalan?). The woman is looking away and the girl is facing the camera. It's gorgeous but it doesn't mean anything to me except that I like it. Do I bring it into my house or pass? What if I look it up and find out their story?

If you go to this blog, it has a link where you can buy these unfinished frames for cheap. I want two big ones like the ones in this picture. I also want a variety of smaller ones. I want to paint them for the wall behind my couch! Great christmas gift for me! :)

The easiest way to hang a picture! Why didn't I think of this? Pin now, read later! #tips

This is a must...Do this before making a gallery wall. Hold piece of paper on back of frame and mark with Sharpie where to put the nail-then tape back on wall and nail right through the paper! Simple!

I like the mix of wood, white, and whitewashed frames. I also like the mix of black/white and muted color photos... Not on a white wall though!

This is exactly what I envision above my couch in the living room. Now I just need to find some delicious vintage frames like these...

A beautiful example how to mix frames and use the entire wall when doing a gallery. (Lynn of Decor Arts Now) See the rest of her home tour on my blog here: emilyaclark.blogs...
