    Salisbury Steak recipe 1 1/2 # quality ground beef 1 can french onion soup 1/2 c dry bread crumbs (or you can use crushed crackers) 1 egg 1 T diced onion (also can add jalapeno or other peppers too) 1/2 t salt, 1/4 t pepper, 1/4 t sage, also optional here is 1/4 t oregano, basil, thyme, cumin. 1/4 c ketchup 1 T worcestershire sauce 1/4 c water 1/2 t mustard powder 1-3 T flour 2 T butter 2 beef bouillion cubes and 1/4 t browning sauce are optional ingredients here too. Mix together 1/3 can of french onion soup, ground beef, bread or cracker crumb, egg, onion, salt and pepper, spices and shape into 6 patties. Fry over med-hi heat and brown both sides, pour off fat. Combine in a small bowl, the flour and soup and get lumps out. Mix in ketchup, water (with bouillion), worcestershire sauce, mustard and pour over meat in skilled. Cover and cook for 20 min. Stir occasionally. For a thicker gravy, make a white sauce of the butter and flour and add to this mixture as cooking. For a darker color, add the browning sauce. Enjoy
