    Boiled can of sweetened condensed milk turned to caramel...yum! Saw this on the Cooking Channel. Great Dipping sauce for apples!

    Homemade soft caramels - This is my specialty... this is close to my recipe but this one is missing an important ingredient (which you can add to this) 1 teas Vanilla. Put it in after you take it off the stove (when its at 240 degrees) stir and pour into baking dish. -jl

    Just made....I boiled the sugar mixture until "amber" in color to get a darker caramel (like in the picture).....DELICIOUS and RICH and pretty easy!
