“All of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea - whether it is to sail or to watch it - we are going back from whence we came.” - JFK
Kennedy had some of his happiest moments aboard the Honey Fitz (renamed for his maternal grandfather). It is important to clarify this was a government boat, and not personally owned by the Kennedy family. People also confuse the Honey Fitz, with the other Presidential Yacht - the Sequoia. A life-long lover of the sea, Kennedy would slip away from the White House for a few quiet hours on the yacht in the Potomac. He spent Easter and Christmas holidays on her in Palm Beach.
