Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (John Berendt) One of my favorite books. Kevin Spacey did a wonderful job portraying Jim Williams in the movie.

The setting is Savannah , Georgia , a place full of southern hospitality and charm. Someone I served on a jury with recommended this book to me. Its one of my favorites.

Fortune's Rocks by Anita Shreve ~ This was really good!! It took me a bit to get into it and I actually started to abandon it. I am so glad that I didn't!

I always like to know people who love this author because for modern fiction she one of my favorite. I had given on on most currect fiction...but read Peachtree Road another good author and it started me on the road again after years away. I liked "All He Ever Wanted" a lot. One of Anita's you don't hear about often....the setting was magic to me and fit so well with the protag, and narrative. I love this board of yours. pt

One for fans of Bram Stoker's Dracula.
