Guest room ideas - (Love this bench too) A picture frame collage can be the quickest thing to make your apartment feel like a home. If your not the photo hanging type, you can always put up vintage posters or even different swatches of fabric to add a bit of style. Don't spend your time buying new fabrics and cutting it to size, just go to your nearest fabric store and search the scrap/sale bin.

Weekend DIY Projects: If you're itching to incorporate a fabric into your decor but don't want to spend a lot on yardage, consider covering a drum shade or two by following this tutorial. : If you have a collection of miscellaneous vintage frames, consider spray painting and connecting them for a cool DIY visual for your walls.

This powder-blue living room is from Better Homes & Gardens. Here's how they describe it: "Colors don't need to be bright or bold to make a big impact in a space. In this room, powder blue walls and a white fireplace make a pleasant pair. Identical straight-back chairs and ottomans pull color from the walls, while decorative rosy pink pillows add a touch of warmth. For a little shine, choose a bejeweled chandelier to complete an elegant look."
