"Come Sail Away With Me ~ To Explore The Vast Expanse of Sea..." (Written By: Lynn Chateau.)
Unless I am very much mistaken she is the Herreshoff designed schooner Westward built in the USA about 1910 & bought by a Captain Davies about 1929. tThe previous owner went bust & was convicted of fraud. Davies was a pall of George v & Brittannia. He, Davies, loved westward dearly. She was laid up at Dartmouth during the war &was towed out of Dartmouth about 2145 one night in late June 1947 to be scutled in Hurd Deep. I risked a beating to watch her go!!!
