For a globe trotting couple with roots in Australia and Holland, Dubai seemed the perfect spot to build a vacation home. It was important for the clients to feel the essence of the Middle East - hence the custom Heijden Hume screens that feature in several rooms, the custom rugs and the ikat fabrics from Dedar.

Nice way to display photos or paintings without putting holes in the wall ... also could conceal storage, etc. Good idea for apartment dwellers.

For this project: 3-4 pieces steel pipe, a wood board, 2 elbows, 2 flanges to attach pipes to board, 4 castors, 16 screws & washers, 4 bolts & nuts, primer, paint, fabric. First screw the pipe together with elbows in order to form a U shape. Next, sand board to get rid of rough spots. Screw flanges on the pipes and decide where you want them on the board. flip board and make measurements regarding castors and where they’ll be placed. bolt flanges onto board and secure them with nuts.

Apartment Friendly Idea: Screens instead of changing wall colors. Find a DIY version to make it even cheaper and you can get creative. Probably not expensive with the right wood or old window frames, material, a staple gun and whatever else.

windows hung as a room divider ooh, an arch stained glass window in my breakfast room, hanging by chains! :-)

This room is gorgeous sans furniture! Add the big comfy bed? Priceless! the large windows help to brighten the space-but I'm worried about the nighttime. Would it be too dark? I'd love to see two little chairs and a cute end table rather than the couch-but none-the-less this room is beautiful.

Stand alone little wall. A bit more conventional. Could probably be put on high-quality casters.
