In the house we live in now, there is a lot of space in the living room that looks as though it's meant to store some kind of decorations. I would love to have a rolling ladder installed and shelves in those nooks. That ladder could be used as shelves as well if the bookshelves weren't accessed that much.

Admittedly, this is an extremely cool and just as unpractical study. I'd go mad after ten minutes if I had to climb the bloody ladder every time I needed a book.

My thoughts exactly. All the books I really need on a regular basis - for quick reference - are within reach from my office chair. The shelfs are sitting on my desk. All books I need for my current research or my current university module, are on the bigger shelf next to the desk. This will be resorted from time to time, depending on work and study needs. Climbing on the latter to get my books down for study and climbing again to put them back would drive me nuts. Stylish is mostly sooo unpractical.

biggest tree house ever - Horace Burgess’s treehouse is located somewhere near Crossville, Tennessee and stands over 97-feet tall thanks to the 80-foot white oak tree it was built around which also happens to be about 12-feet in diameter at its base. It has 11 floors, somewhere in the neighborhood of 8,000 to 10,000 square feet, a miniature basketball court and is held together by roughly 258,000 nails.
