A romantic and whimsical fortified home on the quiet, western end of Sullivan's Island, Mugdock Castle is an iconic Charleston landmark steeped in history and charm. Comprised of the Gothic-style Winter Hall (c. 1891) and the Romanesque Summer Hall (c. 2009), the two buildings are joined by a central stair tower to form a genuine area's Lowcountry beach castle. A cassina listing

Historic Mugdock Castle on Sullivan's Island, South Carolina. The main stone structure has been Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Post Chapel of Fort Moultrie, and Saint Mark's Lutheran Church. The building was converted to a private residence in the 1970's. Today, the Gothic style of the Winter Hall (circa 1891) combines with the Romanesque style of the newer Summer Hall (circa 2009) in a very tasteful and aesthetic way.
