One Kings Lane - African Mud Cloth & Linen Pillow
Cushions/pillows covered with kuba cloth vintage fabric. Kuba cloth is woven from raffia palm leaf fibers. Traditionally, the cloth is worn as ceremonial dance skirts (ntchaks) by the Kuba people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (also referred to as Congo-Kinshasa or the DRC, formerly Zaire), central Africa.
Fammily gatherings called for all the old cots to come up from the cellar for the Grandchildren. Back porch at Gould, wall to wall army cots, old quilts for padding..so wish I had some of those quilts! But I remember cousins n cots everywhere! Good, warm memories.
