I was probably the most prolific reader in my town. I still remember my library card number was 73A. When I couldn't remember if I had already read a book I could pull the card out of the back and see if I had previously signed it out.
Fond childhood memories. And the sound the date stamp made as the librarian was checking out each book.
library cards - I remember looking at the names before mine to see who read the book. If they checked it out more than once - I knew it must be a good book! ha!
Oh this brings back memories! It was my favourite place to go when I was little. The card catalogues, the library card. Do you remember the membership cards were in colour depending on your age? Child, young adult and adult. I was so excited to get the young adult card! Whole new section of the library to pick from.
I remember checking the sign-out cards to see who had already read the library book.

Library card - this reminds me to buy an old library stamp so that I can stamp my library books the old fashioned way (everything is so computerised nowadays!) (B)
Library card. We should always remember there is nothing that can replace turning real pages in a real book or someday you may only find them in museums.
Library cards. I Remember These! You couldn't check out a book without signing one of these.

Who remembers MASH!!! I loved this game! My sister told me she played this with a patient the other day- she is a child life specialist- and the kid had never heard of it before!
Remember being daring while playing MASH? We always wrote one undesirable in every category, then crossed our fingers that we wouldn't be "married to PeeWee Herman, with 24 kids, with a career as a garbage man and living in a shack" hahaha the good old days!
Played this as a kid!!! Haha!! MASH Game (the fortune-telling game of pre-teen girls in the 60s, 70s 80s, 90's) MASH stands for Mansion - Apartment - Shack - House1. Write down five each of the following: names, types of cars, colors, number of children, places, and careers. 2. Then, one person starts drawing a spiral on a piece of paper and the person whose fortune is being told tells her when to stop. Then

Remember, Flashback, Blast, Childhood Memories, 70S, Credit Cards, Card Swiper, Card Machine
Credit card machine -- They'd put a paper receipt that had carbon sheets in it on top of the credit card and run the top part of the machine over both. Then they'd give you back your card and part of the receipt, and they'd keep the other part.
Credit card machine - and they would give you the carbon copy for you to dispose or you would have to ask for it!
Credit card machine. By the time I was working, this was mostly outdated, but some stores still used it.
credit card machine. ~ No need for these things anymore... kind of sad. I can still remember the sound it'd make when the cashier swiped your card! // #nostalgia #90s
Credit card machine. I remember working at Walmart (before it was a super center) and having to use this...back before using plastic was the norm...
Credit card machine -- remember having to look the card number up in a booklet. Found one once, I was so nervous !!
Credit card machine...I've used one like this in the 70s.

Remember when it was Master Charge instead of Master Card? | historical Master Charge card | #marketing #branding #history
Remember when Master Card was called Master Charge? And then a fake version of the card was made to carry in your wallet that said "Give the Master Charge of Your Life." Maybe that's why they changed it to Master Card.
It was "Master Charge" cards, not Master Card & they ran them through a machine to get the imprint of the cards raised numbers & info.
Remember when Master Card was called Master Charge? I don't remember this but it explains why people sometimes call it that. I just thought they were stupid. Ha!
Remember when Master Card was called Master Charge? I also remember the jingle from the early 1970s.
