Architect Zaha Hadid designed the aquatic center for the London Olympics. The technique used in this building — Self-Compacting Concrete — was recently developing back in 2006 with her design for the Phaeno Science Center and much of the facade had to be re-poured soon after completion due to cracking. Unsure if they used SCC in the Aquatic Center, but hopefully re-pouring won’t be necessary.
