Skulls Unlimited International The veiled chameleon has a really interesting skull. Notice the helmet-like ridge, called a casque (parietal bone), on the top of the skull. Males have a larger casque than females, and in some males this feature can reach 10 cm in height. What do you think the chameleon uses the casque for?
