PeruPeru. ~ Okay, I must ask -Is this a normal sight in Peru!?! Poor... ummm... Owl(?)! The POOR THING looks seriously haggard & like it's completely OUT of it's 'COMFORT ZONE'! I'm torn about the... uhhhh... shirt(?) [or are they pants?], on the... hmmm... Llama(?)! It LOOKS ADORABLE, BUT is it HAPPY in them?!!!!! It really strikes me as a VERY STRANGE SCENE, but hey... maybe it's kind of a thing (or their thing?), in this part of Peru... ??? LOL!!!

All of these belts are hand made by women's cooperatives in rural areas of Peru. The work is done according to fair trade guidelines; most of the artisans sew in their homes or at a communal studio workshop and are paid a living wage.
